Paper Cuts: FAS-T and Furious; How tumor cells evade immune detection and metastasize

2026 marked an improvement in the lab's JC game. This is primarily because we switched to in person JCs (Thanks Pranav) and people started caring about reading the JC paper, preparing well and interacting in healthy scientific debate. We have decided to add another adventure to make JC more interesting. It also doesn't hurt to hone our writing skills a bit more at work since this is not the average activity pursued by a young scientist until they're a bit further ahead in their project. We've decided to start a series of blog posts called Paper Cuts where the presenter of a JC paper will summarize their insights from the paper along with points made during the JC discussion into a semi-formal blog. Here is Amisha's first Paper Cuts for 2026. You can also find these on the glass wall around our lab. We hope to do this for every JC this year, prepare a compendium of such posts and share here for us (and possibly others) to enjoy.
